About Me

George Clements AKA Clemo

My name is George Clements. I was born June 1988 in Burnham on Crouch, Essex England and remain there till this day with my parents Ian & Bridgette who have been supportive through my racing career.

Dad bought my my first mx bike for my 4th birthday, a Honda QR 50 and i started racing in 1995 in the East Anglian schoolboy club at the age of 6 and went on from there till i was 15 competing in National & club Moto X racing winning races and Championships on the way.

Supermoto caught my attention and i used to watch it on the TV and in November 2003 the KTM Junior cup was announced and we immediately got our application in and it all went from there. I was still racing MX when we first started Supermoto but i quickly lost the motivation to race MX as all i wanted to do was race my KTM 200 which was mental. I went thrrough that whole season without finishing OFF the podium with some wins but lots of 2nd places which is where i finished that year.

We have raced KTM, Honda, Husqvarna brands and remain on the Orange bike as we believe it is the best bike currently in Supermoto and clearly dominated the British series in 2009.

I have won 3 Supermoto titles in the last 4 years and hope to add the British Title in 2010 although that is a tough title to win with the very fast guys on fast KTM's.

2010 will see me racing in the British Supermoto Championships, NORA National Championship & selected Southern Supermoto rounds. We will be concentrating on finishing top 3 in the British this year as 2009 went 1 place better than 2008 with 5th place in the overall standings. My team mates Ady & Craig finished 3rd & 4th overall so a great team finish last season.

I was really chuffed at getting picked to represent my country for the 3rd year running at the FIM "Supermoto of Nations" in Bulgaria in 2008. The track was fantastic with a totally 100% tarmac circuit including the sky zone and berms which was awesome to ride. With the Des Nations returning to this circuit for 2009 i was dissapointed that the ACU didn't send a British team. The team had been selected and i would have been in the senior squad which would have been awesome. Maybe this year i can make the squad for France 2010 Nations.

We have just had our 2 2009 KTM450SMR's fully rebuilt with some additonal tuning work done by Stuart Jones and we are looking forward to getting some early season practice going ready for the first race with Nora at Rowrah in March.
